Completed in August 2025, The Loft is an office-to-residential conversion located at the corner of 4th Avenue and 7th Street Southwest in downtown Calgary. A key component of the city’s office conversion strategy, the project is positioned on the edge of the Eau Claire neighbourhood, steps from the Bow River and surrounding parkland, an ideal setting for urban living.

The Loft involved the conversion of existing office space into 56 residential suites. This transformation provided a mix of modern living spaces tailored to meet the needs of urban dwellers. Each suite was designed with contemporary amenities and finishes, ensuring a high standard of living for residents. In addition to the residential suites, The Loft features a public amenity space, that includes a café on the main level. This café serves as a social hub for both residents and the local community, fostering interaction and a sense of community. On the second level, building amenities for residents, including a fitness space. The fitness space is equipped with modern exercise equipment, while the events room provides a versatile area for social gatherings, meetings, and other activities.

The strategic location of The Loft, combined with its modern amenities and thoughtfully designed living spaces, positions it as a highly desirable residential option in downtown Calgary. By converting underutilized office space into vibrant residential units, The Loft not only contributes to addressing the city’s housing demand but also plays a crucial role in the revitalization of the Eau Claire neighbourhood. This project exemplifies the potential of adaptive reuse in urban development, creating a dynamic and sustainable living environment in the heart of Calgary.
