As part of the Corporate Architect contract with Southlake, WalterFedy provided architectural services for the fit-out of a shelled space room for radiation treatment. This included the installation of a state-of-the-art LINAC in a room fit out with enhanced finishes and lighting to achieve a patient-centred design while achieving sophisticated technical requirements. This $1 million project required close coordination with mechanical and electrical engineers form HH Angus to seamlessly integrate with the existing infrastructure.

The Stronach Regional Cancer Centre (SRCC) is a four-storey building on the campus of Southlake Regional Health Centre (SRHC). The Cancer Centre provides comprehensive ambulatory cancer diagnostics, treatment, review and counseling services for residents north of Toronto.

The facility includes 2 CT simulator suites for treatment planning and 6 high-energy radiation treatment rooms, two which were shelled at the time of construction. Outpatient clinics, supportive care counseling rooms and chemotherapy are located in a single facility for wrap around care and treatment.
