Ontario Power Generation’s Darlington New Nuclear Project is helping advance the future of clean energy in Ontario. Located at OPG’s Darlington site, the project is leading the way in the advancement of small modular reactor technology in Canada and will support the province’s growing need for reliable, low-carbon electricity.

The first unit at the site will use GE Hitachi’s BWRX-300 small modular reactor technology. Pending regulatory approvals for additional units, the Darlington New Nuclear Project could include a fleet of four 300 MWe SMRs with a total output of 1,200 megawatts—enough electricity to power approximately 1.2 million homes.
Darlington New Nuclear Project
The project reflects Ontario’s leadership in nuclear innovation and clean energy infrastructure. As one of Canada’s most significant new nuclear initiatives, it will help support electrification, economic growth, and long-term energy reliability.

WalterFedy is proud to be part of the Darlington New Nuclear Project and contribute to a nationally significant clean energy initiative that will help power Ontario’s future.
