Did you know that the honey bee annually adds $7 billion to the Canadian economy? We are proud to support the growth of this industry by providing civil engineering services to a new state-of-the-art Honey Bee Research Centre at the University of Guelph.

Breaking ground on June 23, 2023, this 15,000 square-foot, $16-million facility will offer up to 200 hives, a research laboratory, a shop for honey and hive products, pollinator gardens and walking tours plus a classroom where bee enthusiasts can take the next step to become apiculturists.

Our civil engineering experts are designing domestic water and fire flow water services, grading and stormwater management, erosion and sediment control, driveway and parking areas, and landscaping to ensure that the structures and systems support the research center’s daily operational needs.
