We’re proud to share that Matt Ninomiya, Land Development Manager at WalterFedy, has been appointed Chair of the Board of Directors for the Waterloo Region Home Builders’ Association (WRHBA) for the 2025–2026 term.
Matt has been an active member of the WRHBA Board since 2019, serving in key leadership roles including 2nd Vice President and 1st Vice President. His appointment as Chair reflects not only his deep commitment to the industry but also his proven leadership in advocacy, strategic oversight, and community engagement.
As Chair, Matt will guide the Association’s direction during a pivotal time for the housing sector. His focus will include:
- Strengthening relationships with industry stakeholders
- Deepening engagement among professionals in the region
- Helping the sector navigate policy changes following recent elections
With significant shifts on the horizon, Matt is committed to ensuring that housing remains accessible, sustainable, collaborative, and responsive to the needs of our growing communities. Matt will also focus on fostering, advocating for effective housing policies, and mentoring the next generation of industry leaders.
As a seasoned civil engineer and strategic leader, Matt has played a pivotal role in expanding WalterFedy’s land development capabilities. His work continues to elevate our firm’s presence and impact throughout Southern Ontario.
