WalterFedy has worked at Willett Hospital since 2007 on a variety of renovation and revitalization projects. As the Paris community has grown, it has been critical for the Hospital to ensure that they are able to provide the level of service required to meet the community’s needs.
Patient and Nurse Administration Area
WalterFedy provided architectural and engineering services for provision of a new entrance door and renovations to the interior entry area to create patient waiting and nurse administration areas. Our work also included construction of a new barrier-free access ramp and walkways to facilitate access from the existing parking lot to the new building entrance.
Urgent Care Renovations
The project consisted of renovations to approximately 600 SF of the existing north part of the first floor to use as the Urgent Care Centre. WalterFedy prepared the structural, mechanical, and electrical drawings and specifications for building permit and tendering, in coordination with the architectural floor plan/design.
Family Health Team Relocation Study
WalterFedy’s architecture and engineering teams reviewed existing drawings to assess existing space needs and prepare a concept plan to relocate the Family Health Team’s main floor offices to a vacant second floor area. This included preparation of preliminary architectural and engineering construction cost estimates for the proposed scope of work, development of a reception area plan, and preparation of renderings for presentation to Family Health Team doctors.
C-Wing Patient War Renewal
Our team provided architectural and engineering services for various renovation and upgrade projects across the hospital, including cosmetic and modernization upgrades; new HVAC system; roof replacement; B-Wing feasibility study; C-Wing window replacement; and Roof N replacement.
