WalterFedy provided engineering services for the construction of a new addition to the University of Guelph’s Crop Sciences building. This new addition houses a multipurpose meeting/research space as well as testing and functional application space. Our team also renovated the south entrance, including new landscaping and modifications to the parking lot.

The new addition also houses the Bioproducts Discovery and Development Centre (BDDC), one of the world’s leading research centres in the field of bio-plastics, natural fiber composites, and bio-composites. The primary goal of this project was to expand the BDDC’s research and associated economic cluster with university-industry collaboration/interaction and knowledge transfer. Construction of this project began in 2013. |
