Size: 475,000 SF | Value: $55 Million | Completion: December 2018 | Location: Kitchener, ON

Civil Engineering

WalterFedy provided civil engineering services for a site plan approval and building permit for the redevelopment of the existing 475,000 SF Kaufman Rubber warehouse into a multi-tenant hardware start-up hub – the largest of its kind in the world. Located on 9.5 hectares, the site features 1,055 vehicular and 100 bike parking spaces. The development required approximately 2.5 km of new servicing, 70,000 metric tonnes of moved earth, and rework of the Iron Horse Trail for new direct pedestrian connection to the site, all on an accelerated schedule with the first tenant moved in by April 2017.
