Role At a Glance

Reporting to the Team Leader, Enterprise Technology, you will be tasked with installing, testing, and maintaining a variety of hardware and software systems with LAN and WAN connections.  The ideal candidate manages time effectively, takes a service-minded approach to solving problems, and collaborates well in a team environment.

What You Will Do

  • Provide remote and on-site technical support to all the internal departments and staff for all our IT hardware and software products

  • Provide consistent service to clients to develop the feeling of dependability and trust

  • Take responsibility for all assigned service requests

  • Troubleshoot and manage a wide array of hardware and network devices 

  • Be able to build, troubleshoot, and repair a standard desktop computer

  • Provide some after-hours support and maintenance as required (primary hours of work will be 9:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday to Friday)

What You Bring to the Table

  • College diploma or University degree in a computer-related field

  • MCP or MCSA certification is considered an asset 

  • Minimum 5 years of working in a mid-sized Microsoft network environment

  • Advanced experience and knowledge in Windows 10 installation, imaging, customizing, and deployment

  • Microsoft 365 environment – managing Exchange Online, Teams and SharePoint; developing flows and forms; working with Power Apps and Power Automate

  • Nice to have: Exchange Server, SharePoint, SQL, VMware, NAS technologies knowledge

  • Experience with ticketing systems, remote management software and cloud-based management applications

  • Networking certifications such as CompTIA Network, CISCO CCNA or CCIE are assets

  • Desktop Support – Applications/Virus Removal/Mobile Devices, and Office 2013/2016/2019/365

  • Workstations, laptops, tablets, mobile devices, printers, scanners, AIO support

  • Active Directory/Group Policy Administration

  • Windows Server 2012/2016/2019, Windows 10

  • Virtualization Technologies

  • Wireless LAN

  • Cloud services (Azure)

  • Exchange Server 2013/2016/2019, SQL Server 2012 (or later)

  • Network Services/Protocols (DNS, DHCP, TCPIP, VLAN)

  • Firewall Technologies (Sophos UTM/XG and Fortinet)

  • Backup Applications, including monitoring and management (Veeam, and Windows Server Backup)
