Role At a Glance

WalterFedy is seeking a well-rounded, energetic BIM Coordinator to work with our integrated team on Revit project initiation and coordination, along with content and technical development. In this role, you will be working closely with the BIM Manager on various projects, while providing support to our Architecture and Engineering production teams as needed.

What You Will Do

  • Apply BIM and Revit knowledge to aid in the development of family content and repositories
  • Act as a Revit support specialist to all disciplines as needed
  • Consolidated project set-up of all integrated discipline BIM models, derived from BIM Execution Plan information at project inception
  • Implement and monitor BIM Model Management tactics including model health, modelling standards, and clash detection
  • Leading BIM coordination for projects including BIM Execution Planning, BIM Use Cases, Level of Development (LOD), Element Ownership Matrix (EOM), etc.
  • Support the BIM Manager in technological and efficiency developments, workflow optimization and digital logistics (project and data tracking and analysis)

What You Bring to the Table

  • 3-year post-secondary diploma/degree in BIM/Engineering/Architectural Technologist program
  • BIM Management or a similar post-graduate certificate is an asset
  • Strong Revit modelling and custom content creation skills and advanced experience
  • Insight of Revit as a data-rich environment, familiarity with custom parameters and schedule creation
  • Enthusiastic team player in a fast-paced environment, with a good understanding of broad AEC industry building components
  • Adaptable, willing, and eager to learn new technology
  • Knowledge of Python preferred; proficiency in Dynamo is an asset
  • Proficiency with model federation platforms such as Navisworks is an asset
  • Strong communication is essential (interpersonal, verbal, written)
  • Efficiency and ability to prioritize and multi-task
  • Class G driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle, as there may be some travel to project sites or inter-office
