Role Overview

Reporting to the Controller the Accountant will be primarily responsible for general accounting duties.  These duties may include but are not limited to:  accounts payable, invoicing, monthly reconciliations, remittances and schedules.

What You May Do
  • Provide support for Accounts Payable.
  • Support Project Managers by completing the billing process: producing draft invoices, final invoices and preparing project detail reports and construction payment release documentation.
  • Prepare cash flow statements.
  • Complete monthly bank reconciliation for multiple accounts.
  • Update and maintain fixed asset and depreciation schedule.
  • Maintain corporate related documents (insurance and lease agreements).
  • Update and maintain prepaid asset and amortization schedules.
  • Prepare HST remittances.
  • Support period end and year end closing processes and assist with financial reporting.


What We Need
  • Accounting diploma or degree is preferred, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience in a fast paced professional environment (consulting industry is preferred).
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Demonstrates meticulous and accurate data entry and proofreading skills.
  • Excellent working knowledge of MS Excel and Word.
  • Knowledge of Deltek Vision software is an asset.

Working Conditions and Safety

Standard hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:00pm, and some overtime hours may be required from time to time.
