You will focus on producing high-quality construction documents for a broad range of industrial, commercial, and institutional projects as part of a fully integrated design team. This position will be responsible for assistance in creating construction documents using AutoCAD and Revit software through the various phases of design.
You will have the opportunity to work on exciting local projects. Examples of projects that we are really proud to have in our portfolio include the Conestoga College Cambridge Campus, Waterloo Region Museum and the Kitchener Public Library expansion.
**This role is open to applicants interested in working at any of our offices: Kitchener, Hamilton or Toronto**
Assist with the preparation of construction documents and specifications
Prepare accurate CAD drawings from mark-ups and instructions provided by architects, engineers, designers and senior drafting personnel
Apply office CAD standards to drafting assignments (layers, line weights)
Ensure output meets the required quality expectations and deadlines
Take responsibility for own work, produced to a high standard
Coordinate detailed design with design team members, including external teams
Ensure work product meets deadlines and high quality and CAD standards
Mechanical/Architecture/Construction Engineering Technology diploma or certificate (or similar)
Excellent working knowledge of drafting with AutoCAD; experience with Revit MEP is an asset
Good understanding of building construction and basic mechanical building systems
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
