This role will provide you with an opportunity to develop further as a Mechanical Engineer while also allowing you to work towards developing a unique skill set as an expert in integrated design. You will have the opportunity to work on exciting projects in the following sectors: Healthcare, Industrial, Food/Pharma, Commercial, and Educational.
**This role is open to applicants interested in working at any of our offices: Kitchener, Hamilton or Toronto**
Complete design and calculations of HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and controls for large and mid-sized projects
Coordinate and communicate with clients on the scope and development of project
Coordinate with equipment suppliers, contractors, and other design disciplines
Perform site surveys and site assessments, field reviews, and address coordination questions throughout construction
Provide detailed mechanical capital cost estimates
Coordinate the preparation of drawing documentation and prepare specifications to supplement drawings in project bid packages
Complete technical analysis and preparation of corresponding reports
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with a focus on Mechanical Engineering
5-10 years of experience in designing mechanical systems for projects pertaining to healthcare, institutional, commercial and/or industrial sector
Licensed member of PEO (P.Eng)
Working knowledge of Ontario Building Code, ASHRAE, NFPA, and other relevant codes
