Getting involved

WalterFedy's first Habitat for Humanity build day in 2017

We are active participants in making the Waterloo Region a great place to live and work because we know the more we put into our community, the stronger it will be. It is important for us to support our community the same way they have supported us over the past six decades. We want our imprint on the Region to be more than just the structures we have designed and built, we want to play a part in building a strong community foundation for years to come.

Supporting Our Community

We support many organizations through sponsorship and participation. Our fundraising campaign in the fall supports local charities and our CANstruction team supports the Food Bank of Waterloo Region in the spring, and those are just two examples. Our employees are also encouraged to donate their time and talents by sitting on charity boards, attending community events and volunteering for causes that require community support during and after work hours. Every full-time staff member gets 15 hours to volunteer in the community with a company or individual initiative. We also donate $200 to an employee’s charity of choice after they’ve volunteered for 20 hours or more in the community to encourage participation in our volunteer program.
